Aberdare National Park is located in central province of Kenya cutting across two counties: Nyeri and Nyandarua. It is approximately 100km from Nairobi city. The park has mountain ranges, which rise up to 4,300m high with rivers descending on scarps forming beautiful waterfalls. At its lowland, rainforest, moorland and bamboo forests are thick due to the high amount of rainfall experienced in the region.
The Solio sanctuary’s rare black and white rhinos, plenty bird species and overnight animal seeing will make trip memorable. You may see from your lodge’s deck Elephants, Rhinos, Leopard, Bushbucks, Bongos and Forest Hogs, drinking water from the near-by waterhole. More than 250 species of birds are evident in the park as well. Apart from enjoying walking through picnics, visitors also love seeing rivers, animals and birds.

Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Aberdare National Park
Your Aberdare Safari will start with pick up from your residence at 6:00AM and our driver / guide will transfer you by road to Aberdare National Park. You will pass through the Kenyan Highlands with scenic views of pineapples and coffee plantations in Thika, Muranga and Nyeri.
You will arrive at Aberdare National Park at around 9:30AM and proceed with an early morning game drive. Our game drive explores the dense forest with many animals including the Elephants, Rhinos, Leopards, giant forest Hogs, Buffaloes and Colobus Monkeys.
At 1PM you will enjoy picnic lunch at 3,500 meters altitude surrounded by breathtaking landscape of waterfalls, forest and sounds of chirping monkeys on top of tree tops.
After lunch we will proceed for another afternoon game drive as we exit the park for Nairobi.
You will arrive in Nairobi later in the evening at around 6PM.
