Nairobi National Park is the only Wildlife Capital in the World. It is located approximately 7 kilometers from Nairobi’s City Center, with only a fence separating the park from the metropolis. Open grass plains and backdrop of the city scrapers, scattered acacia bush play host to a wide variety of wildlife.
The Park has a good variety of wildlife including the endangered black rhino, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes and giraffes. Nairobi National Park has a high diversity of bird species, with up to 500 permanent and migratory species.
Visitors enjoy the park’s picnic sites, three campsites and the walking trails for hikers.
