Wasini Island Dolphins Tour and Snorkeling takes you to Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park in Shimoni South, 75Kms from Mombasa. Kisite Mpunguti Marine National Park is one of the most magnificent of all of Kenya’s marine parks. The Park covers an area of 39 square km and has a variety of beautiful fish species found within the park’s boundaries. Another unique experience are the boat tours around the island from which you can look for dolphins and Humpback whales (if you are lucky).

Wasini Island Dolphins Tour and Snorkeling Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Diani
On this day you are expected to rise up very early, take your morning breakfast then head to Nairobi’s Syokimau SGR Train Terminus arriving on or before 7AM. This will be our meeting point. You will be required to print your train tickets with the help of one of our staff. After printing your tickets and checking to the train, the train will depart for Mombasa at exactly 8AM. On your way to Mombasa you will enjoy scenic views of Tsavo National Park and if you are luck enough you will spot some wild animals such as Elephants and Giraffes.
At exactly 2PM you will arrive at Mombasa SGR Train Terminus where you will find our standby driver waiting to transfer you to Safari Beach Hotel in Diani. Diani is approximately 1 Hour and 30 Minutes from Mombasa hence your expected arrival time is 4PM. On arrival in Diani you will check in to your rooms and also spend the remaining part of the day on the beach which is in front of the hotel.
Day 2: Diani – Kisite Mupunguti – Wasini Island
Approximately 7:30 am after breakfast, your driver guide will swing by for an early pick-up from your hotel. You will head to Shimoni Village passing small coastal towns with views of palms and mango tree plantations. On arrival at around 9:00 am, a motorized dhow will be waiting for you at the Shimoni jetty and you will cruise off to the Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park, passing nearby islands. You will swim, snorkel, check out the exotic sea life and on a lucky day make friends with welcoming local dolphins.
After 2-3 hours of dolphins, watching you will arrive at Wasini Island. At Wasini Island, you will enjoy a guided walk over the island, visiting its stunning coral garden and mangrove swamps. Now it’s time for lunch – a bar-b-que of seafood accented with local Swahili dishes. You will eat, relax, and then set sail back to Shimoni. If time allows, we may explore the historic caves where slaves were held before being shipped out to the slave market at Zanzibar
From Shimoni you will drive back to Diani arrive later in the evening in time for Dinner. For those who could like to explore the Diani Night life this will be a perfect night to go out.

Day 3: Diani – Nairobi
On this last day in Diani, Breakfast will be served at 8:00 am followed by hotel check out at exactly 10:00 am. Your driver will pick you up at 11:00 am ready to transfer you back to Mombasa SGR Train Terminus. You will arrive at the SGR Terminus at around 2:00 pm followed by printing of tickets and check in. The train departs for Nairobi at exactly 3:00 pm and your expected Nairobi arrival time is 8:00pm.
