Explore Kenya’s 2 famous parks with this 5 Day Masai Mara, Amboseli Safari. Amboseli Park is one of the largest parks in Kenya. The climate of the region is dry in most time of the year. It shelters many wild animals with elephants forming a significant number of the animals. There are more than 75 mammals in the park.

Zebras and wildebeests can be seen from a distance grazing on the natural grassland. The park also provides shelter to more than 400 species of birds. Tourists take picture with the huge African elephants in the park. While in park, travelers are also able to view Mount Kilimanjaro a distance away.

The Masai Mara is one of Kenya’s best and most outstanding wildlife sanctuary where gently rolling grassland ensures animals are never out of sight. Its located within the Great Rift Valley in the southern part of Kenya the reserve is popularly known for The Big Five (Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Rhinos and Buffalo).

The famous wildebeest migration also takes place at the Mara and is among the 7th wonder of the world.
The park has the largest concentration of African lions, including the black-maned lion. Bird life is in plenty as wildlife at the Mara, which boasts over 400 different bird species.

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara

Your Masai Mara Safari will start with pick up from your Hotel or Residence at around 6-8am after breakfast with a brief stopover at the Great Rift Valley view point and a lunch hour, stopover at Narok town at around noon.

You will later proceed with the trip. If you get to Masai Mara national reserve early enough, you could pass by the accommodation facility for refreshments but if time doesn’t allow, you immediately head to the park for a brief game drive.

Masai Mara is a home to different animal species which includes the big five, which you might get to see. In July, August and September, wildebeests migrate from Serengeti to the Mara, which is a very entertaining view.

After the game drive, your guide will take you to your accommodation facility, where dinner is served and night spent.

Day 2: Masai Mara

After breakfast, you will be picked from your lodge or camp at around 7:45am for the day’s game drive. The drive will take you through the landscape of Masai Mara which is savannah grassland on rolling hills.

Masai Mara national park has good extensive road networks which provide a platform to closely view the wild animals. You will view different kinds of wildlife, vegetation and the beautiful landscape.

You will then have a picnic lunch, after which you will be driven back to the lodge or camp, for a cup of coffee or tea. An optional visit to the Masai village is later on availed, which comes at a fee, and can be directly paid for to the Masai Community.

The evening’s dinner is then served and overnight stay at your lodge or camp.

Day 3: Masai Mara – Amboseli National Park

A cup of coffee or tea is served at 6:45am in the morning, after which the guide picks you up for an early morning departure to Amboseli Park. We’ll have lunch break and brief stopovers to appreciate Kenya’s beauty and relaxation.

You will arrive Amboseli National Reserve later in the evening and check in to your hotel/lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Amboseli National Park

You will be up early for a pre-breakfast safari through the park as the elephant families head to their favorite watering holes and later head back to to the hotel/lodge for breakfast.

The driver will take you through the swampy grounds where elephants and hippos bathe. Amboseli national park has good extensive road networks which provide a platform to closely view the wild animals.

You will see different types of wildlife such as the antelopes and birds, vegetation and the beautiful scenery of Mount Kilimanjaro peak, if the weather conditions permit. You will then have a picnic lunch, after which you will be driven to your camp/lodge for an overnight stay with dinner served.

Day 5: Amboseli National Park – Nairobi

After breakfast checkout from your camp/lodge, have a game drive on your way out to see what you probably missed in your previous game drive and catch up Mombasa road and drive to Nairobi arriving in the evening. Drop off in your Nairobi hotel or airport, for your next destination.
