10 Days Bush and Beach Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve
Your Safari will start at 7:00 am with pick up from Airport, Hotel or Residence with our driver guide. After a briefing, you will drive to Masai Mara for approximately 5-6 hours skirting around Mount Suswa. First highlight of the journey is the glimpse of East Africa’s Great Rift Valley. Covering approximately 7000kms, the valley runs from Lebanon in Asia to Mozambique in South East Asia. You will arrive at your camp in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive to explore the Masai Mara.

Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy full-day morning and afternoon game drives with packed lunch. Masai Mara National Reserve is famous for The Big Five animals (Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Rhinos and Buffalo). What amazes travelers in this reserve is the annual migration of wildebeests. The animals shift on July and return on November and is among the seventh wonder of the world. The park has the largest concentration of African lions, including the black-maned lion. Bird life is in plenty as wildlife at the Mara, which boasts over 400 different bird species.

Day 3: Masai Mara - Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, proceed to Amboseli National Park passing through the vast plains and African savannah with sightings of Masai homesteads. You will arrive at your lodge in time, check in followed with lunch at 1PM. You will have an introductory late afternoon game drive at 4:00 pm in the park with a perfect view of Africa’s highest mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro. Against this magnificent backdrop roams vast herds of elephants accompanied by a mixture of other fabulous beasts like lion, buffalos, cheetahs and giraffes to name but a few.

Day 4: Amboseli National Park
After your breakfast at 7:00 am, enjoy the full day in Amboseli National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. Our game drives shall take you to the observation hill to have a better overall view of the park including the adjacent marshy swamps. Wildlife is abundant in this park together with pelicans and other bird species. Your game viewing will be spread to cover the open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush country, swamps and marshland.

Day 5: Amboseli – Tsavo West National Park
After breakfast depart for Tsavo West National Park. Visit the famous Aruba dam where lots of wildlife come to drink water. Later on, drive to your lodge/camp for check-in & lunch with an afternoon game drive scheduled. Many people visiting the park love the wildlife safaris as they closely view animals while moving through the park. This is where tourists are able to observe the red-skinned elephants and stunning species of birds. In the park, visitors are able to observe Chyulu Hills a distance away from the park.

Day 6: Tsavo West – Tsavo East National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tsavo East National Park arriving in the afternoon. Visit the Rhino sanctuary during this en route scenic game viewing safari. Arrive at your lodge/camp for check-in and lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. Large heard of red-skinned elephants and Man-eaters (lions) of Tsavo define this ark. One of the Park’s most recognizable features is the Yatta Plateau, which is the longest lava flow in the World. The Park is home to a good population of Giraffe, Zebra, Impala Gazelles, and Buffalo. Large prides of Lions, Leopards and Cheetah represent predators in the park.

Day 7: Tsavo East - Diani
On this day, you will have an early morning breakfast then drive to Mombasa through the Taru Desert. As you approach Mombasa, the scenery becomes progressively tropical. The heat and humidity increases, and the landscape changes to coconut palms, papaya and other coastal vegetation. You will arrive in time for lunch at your Diani Hotel followed numerous activities of your choice. Swim in the pool, head out into the ocean for some water sports, play a spot of tennis, sunbathe, settle in with a good book on the beach.

Day 8: Diani – Kisite Mupunguti – Wasini Island - Diani
After breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up and head to Wasini Island passing small coastal towns with views of palms and mango tree plantations. On arrival, a motorized dhow will be waiting for you at the Shimoni jetty ready to transfer you Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park. You will swim, snorkel and make friends with welcoming local dolphins. Later in the afternoon head to Wasini Island where you will enjoy a guided walk over the island, visiting its stunning coral garden and mangrove swamps. During lunch, you will enjoy a barbeque of seafood accented with local Swahili dishes.

Day 9: Diani Beach
You will have ample time to relax after long game drives you experienced earlier in your trip. For a whole day, you will relax at the beach sipping refreshing cocktail taking in the tropical beauty of the coastline. Diani beach offers a wide range of fun activities including boat sailing, jet skiing and snorkeling. Enjoy a fun filled day in Diani with its unending views of the ocean on Africa’s finest beach. This is the perfect way to round off your 9 Days Wildlife and Beach Safari Safari.

Day 10: Diani Beach - Nairobi
On this your last day, you will spend your morning relaxing as you enjoy your mid-morning breakfast after which you will be transferred to Ukunda Airstrip for a domestic flight back to Nairobi where you will be dropped off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
